چکیده
Chenopodium formosanum Koidz (CF) is an indigenous cereal plant of Taiwan. Its high content secondary metabolites and nutrients has attracted attention for its use in skin care products functional foods. However, most studies have focused on the extract CF seeds, which are relatively expensive, none investigated effects combining extraction fermentation. In this study, we evaluated utility using extracts different parts CF, i.e., leaves, stems, unhulled hulled seeds. We first made aqueous, ethanolic, methanolic, ethyl acetate four parts. After assessing their biological activities, selected only unfermented fermented leaf methanolic subsequent analysis. None concentrations (≤400 mg/L) were cytotoxic, all exhibited antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, skin-whitening, moisturizing, antiaging activities. The protocatechuic acid, epicatechin, gallic quercetin increased after Therefore, they subjected to a molecular docking analysis, revealed that epicatechin may contribute skin-whitening properties, respectively. conclusion, can be useful as ingredient health foods, botanical drugs, cosmetic products.

Effects of Aspergillus oryzae fermentation extract on in vitro equine cecal fermentation.
The objective of this study was to examine the effects of Aspergillus oryzae fermentation extract on the in vitro equine cecal fermentation of soluble starch, amino acids/peptides, coastal bermudagrass hay, and alfalfa hay. Cecal contents were obtained from a cecally fistulated Quarter Horse gelding fed coastal bermudagrass and grain (70:30) either unadapted or adapted to dietary A. oryzae supp...
متن کاملIn Vitro Stimulation of Forage Fiber Degradation by Ruminal Microorganisms with Aspergillus oryzae Fermentation Extract.
Aspergillus oryzae fermentation extract (Amaferm) was evaluated for its ability to influence degradation of brome grass and switchgrass fiber fractions by mixed ruminal microorganisms in vitro. Addition of Amaferm at a concentration of 0.067 mg/ml, which is approximately the concentration found in the rumen ecosystem (0.06 mg/ml), increased the degradation of brome grass neutral detergent fiber...
متن کاملEnhanced biological activities of gamma-irradiated persimmon leaf extract
The aim of this study was to compare the anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory activities of gamma-irradiated persimmon leaf extract (GPLE) with those of non-irradiated persimmon leaf extract (PLE). Ethanolic extract of persimmon leaf was exposed to gamma irradiation at a dose of 10 kGy. After gamma irradiation, the color of the extract changed from dark brown to light brown. The anti-oxidative ...
متن کاملDjulis (Chenopodium formosanum Koidz.) Water Extract and Its Bioactive Components Ameliorate Dermal Damage in UVB-Irradiated Skin Models
Dermal photoaging is a condition of skin suffering inappropriate ultraviolet (UV) exposure and exerts inflammation, tissue alterations, redness, swelling, and uncomfortable feelings. Djulis (Chenopodium formosanum Koidz.) is a cereal food and its antioxidant and pigment constituents may provide skin protection from photoaging, but it still lacks proved experiments. In this study, protective eff...
متن کاملAmylase production from Aspergillus oryzae LS1 by solid-state fermentation and its use for the hydrolysis of wheat flour
Nine Aspergillus and three of Trichoderma strains were grown on wheat bran (WB) medium under solid state fermentation (SSF) for amylase production. Aspergillus oryzae LS1 produced the highest level of the enzyme. The thermal stability profile of its crude enzyme revealed the half-life time of more than 2 h at 50 and 60ºC. The enzyme production was affected by strain type, incubation periods, le...
